Best cosmetics for sensitive skin?

I have very sensitive skin that is also very pale in color. I love the look of make-up but most make-up either makes me break out into an itchy rash or gives me pimples. I can deal with the pimples but the itchiness not so much. I have the most problems with my eye make-up and foundation but all make-up gives me trouble. What are the best inexpensive products (think Walgreens) for sensitive skin? I currently love using neutragena shimmer sheers for my eyes but I think it's discontinued.Best cosmetics for sensitive skin?
you should use bare minerals, because it is natural, and it won't clog pores. Be sure though to wash your face before you go to bed. Make up that sits on your face overnight, causes a lot of oil and acne.Best cosmetics for sensitive skin?
My picks:

1. Neutrogena

2. Almay Naturals

3. Maybelline New York Mineral makeup

Any natural or dermatologist approved makeup brand shouldn't be a problem for your skin.
Anything Neutrogena should work, since they are a good, pure name brand. They might have other eyeshadows besides your discontinued one.
almayyyyy pure blends. all natural

Any recomendations of fine cosmetic skin care lines?

I would like to start using a department store bought skin care line. (Origins, Clinique, etc) I'm wondering which is best. I have mild acne that I want to keep in check and normal skin.Any recomendations of fine cosmetic skin care lines?
i HIGHLY suggest Bare Minerals... it's the greatest make up ever made. i will never ever use anything else. it goes on silky smooth and makes your skin flawless. it actually looks like my skin is airbrushed when i put it on.

you can purchase it at Sephora.com

or go to their site - www.bareescentuals.comAny recomendations of fine cosmetic skin care lines?
Clinique is the best. Bare Minerals is the best makeup for people with mild acne and such. It covers them up without smothering them (since it's all natural) and it will help you from making your acne worse
I love the Clinique Three Step Program. It consists of a soap, in liquid or bar form, a toner, and a lotion. The can customize each step to meet the needs of your skin. It has been a while since I purchased all of them together, but think it is around $35 for the set. They also make travel sizes so you don't have to lug around 3 giant bottles anytime you go away for a weekend, and if you shop during bonus time, you get free stuff!
BARE MINERALS IS LIKE A MIRACLE IN A JAR!

Are the cosmetics good for our Skin?

Just Question about cosmetics. Are the cosmetics good for our Skin?
no, our skin is a living organ, our largest one! smearing anything on it to be absorbed eventually can lead to a buildup of toxins and cause all kinds of problems, anything from dryness to wrinkles to cancer. industries are making a positive move away from carcenogens (substances known to cause cancer) but it will take a lot of time, makeup is made from everything from whale blubber to parts of afterbirth to chemicals that are toxic in larger amounts. Are the cosmetics good for our Skin?
basically no..it blocks our pores!but maybe some of it is a lil bit good to our skin like maybe they put some vit A or sumthing..but it depends on people..some people are not lazy to totally wipe off the make up from the face when they go to sleep.
I only know of one, Nicole Miller brand from Melaluca my wife uses it and cannot believe the results. It is vitamins for the skin.
No if you pile LOADS on every day, but if you have lipgloss with vitamin E it is good for your lips, same applys to lip balm and chapsticks.
Not most of the time-it really does block up u'r pores which causes zits etc. BUT there r certain kinds of makeup etc. that help stop that effect. lol
no..plugs the pores, trapping toxins inside
if u hve problem skin seek professionala advice(skin specialist) dun be spending money on items u see on eth counters...sometimes its in ur genes eat right n drink tonnes of water it does good to ur body n it beats heatiness, stay away frm the sun, dun use cosmetics if its tht bad
no because it blocks your pores but if just have to wear make-up use BARE MINERALS because it all cakey and stuff

Do you try to avoid using drugstore brand cosmetics and hair and skin care products?

Why?.Do you try to avoid using drugstore brand cosmetics and hair and skin care products?
I find other products work better for some things. I buy Bare Minerals products on my face and eyes and use a mineral facial soap, plus department store facial moisturizer, however;

I use Maybelline eye makeup remover for waterproof mascara (cheap but mostly it actually works better for waterproof mascara than either Clinique or Mary Kay). I use drugstore brands of body wash (I actually prefer Clinique, but I go through far too much body wash to buy theirs), body moisturizer (money is the big factor here). I love drugstore lipstick as a rule, usually Revlon, L'Oreal, or Milani--and the reason why is I like their colors, although I do own a couple of Clinique lipsticks.

On the other hand, I use a blonde eyebrow pencil by Mary Kay because it is frankly the only one I can find light enough with the right consistency, but I have used Revlon lip liner for years for the same reason. I go with what works best as a rule. I don't think Revlon is any harsher than Clinique or Estee Lauder when it comes to lipstick. My main consideration is what works well for me and what colors work and if I can save money, so much the better.

I've used shampoo and hair products from the drugstore, like Paul Mitchell (which used to be only at salons) and John Frieda, but really prefer to get mine from the beauty supply or my hair stylist. I was formerly a hair stylist and I really do think they are better. I never found Clinique or department stores shampoos all that good since Pantene left department stores and started to sell junkier stuff at the drugstores. Pantene used to be the Cadillac of shampoos 25-30 years ago and was only sold at the better stores. My hair is thin and fine and I have to use a lot of product so I need all the help I can get.Do you try to avoid using drugstore brand cosmetics and hair and skin care products?
no some are rated higher and have better ingredients than expensive department store items.
yea i try to avoid drugstore brands... they just dont work as well for me usually......
No. You find awesome things in drugstores, like St.Ives products.
SOMETIMES.

TRY HOME REMEDIES
Dear amanda,

There is recent evidence that DEA(diethanolamine) is a potent carcinogen found in many mainstream cosmetics and toiletries. It's a potentially cancer-causing ingredient which is readily absorbed through the skin.

With this in mind, I chose to reconsider all my beauty products hopping habits. So I shop natural. The site is www.ineways.com/givestar
i compare the ingredients. often, the name brands and generic brands are exactly the same, so i buy the generic for half the cost. works just the same

Do cosmetics such as soaps and creams containing vitamin E result to skin darkening when used?

If you want to darken your skin, I recommend Jergens Natural Glow FACE daily moisturizer. It really works. They also have it for body and thats what i use. I get compliments all the time. Chima, not to my knowledge. Vitamin E is good for the skin.

my skin isnt that bad just little pimples how do i get rid of them with out using stuff like proactive, nutgina....How can i make my skin perfect with out those cosmetics?
That's the best way. I don't have bad acne (I just get a pimple here and there or some bumps on my nose), and I've found that Clean %26amp; Clear is the best. It works really well, really fast, and it's really really really cheap!!

I hope this helps! How can i make my skin perfect with out those cosmetics?
Make sure you wash your skin twice daily- once int he morning and once in the afternoon. Wash your pillow cases too. Keep your hair out of your face because hair builds up oil that can contribute to acne. Try a face mask suited to your skin type once a week. Exercise, use sunscreen, and keep your hands off of your face.

I want something that'll help my skin, (i think theyre all designed to do that) but i want my skin to GLOW so the second might be the best choice, but its not non-comodogenic like the other two.. but its the one that appeals to me the most.

help! which should i get? and has anyone tried em?Neutrogena Skin Cosmetics? Like the SkinClearing stuff.. is it any good?
Don't waste your money on that crap! Use Proactive! I swear it works really good!Neutrogena Skin Cosmetics? Like the SkinClearing stuff.. is it any good?
Since you are trying to acheive the glow look, number 2 is your best bet doll face.
I have really great skin, so I don't need to use any of those types of things, but I can say from experience that Neutrogena skin care is good. I started using their Fresh Foaming Face Cleanser, their Alcohol Free Toner, and Moisturizer, and I have been very satisfied. I haven't used it very long, and I just wanted something to clean my face, but I find it refreshing and fine. If you want to try, I say go for it. It's really not that expensive, as opposed to some really nice ones that I don't think are worth your money. Try it, and if it doesn't work, well then you know and you won't make the mistake again. Seriously, it's not that expensive.

Has anyone here used Aloette cosmetics and skin care?

    YES!!!

I have been using aloette for 13 years, I was introduced to it in grade 9. I love it its so good for your skin (all skin types) and the makeup is mineral based and vitamin infused.

I recently decided to become a consultant, it is so easy to sell something you truly love and beleive in.

Why do you ask? Have you tried aloette? Do you have any questions?

I am in the niagra region and am availible if you have any questions about our products or having a show (we have the best hostess benifits)

contact me through my e-mail its shannon_aloette@hotmail.com

I look forward to hearing from youHas anyone here used Aloette cosmetics and skin care?
I have been using Aloette Skin Care %26amp; Cosmetic products for 8 years. I had tried so many skin care systems that I was a bit apprehensive about going to the home party. I just figured I would be spending money on products that would end up in the drawer in my closet with all the other skin care that did not work. BUT I was so impressed with what the products did for the back of my hand, I purchased the Aloepure system that night.

I started to notice difference in my skin within the first 2 weeks. And in 5 weeks I was really amazed at the results I was seeing. 8 months or so later when I started to run out of some of the products instead of just figuring oh well, I actually replace them. This was a first for me. Never had I been impressed with anything enough to finish using it, let alone repurchase.

5 years ago I joined the company. I knew I would never use anything else on my face. It just seemed the smart thing to do.

    I have never regretted it!

Have you tried any of the products. I am a consultant in the North East. If there is anything at all I can help you with, whether to explain the products, get you your best deal on purchasing, or hostessing a show, to receive all our very generous hostess benefits (If you are in another area, I can set you in the right direction to find a consultant near to you), please just give me a holler.

Is it a good idea to put cosmetics/skin care in the fridge over summer due to the hot weather?

I would think Yes but it depend on the type of product .. Yes to Lipstick , Chapstick , Creams , Eyeliner etc .. No to Mascara , Lipgloss , certain foundations !! You get the idea :)

Happy Holidays !Is it a good idea to put cosmetics/skin care in the fridge over summer due to the hot weather?
I'm living in a tropical country now so I put all my skincare and for cosmetics, only liquid cosmetics like foundation and lipsticks, in the fridge to preserve the freshness. I read it somewhere in magazines that this will help to preserve freshness and durability. But I don't put other cosmetics as I don't think it helps. Is it a good idea to put cosmetics/skin care in the fridge over summer due to the hot weather?
You should actually keep most of those products in the fridge all year long. It keeps them fresh and protects the active ingredients from breaking down. Just make sure you read the label for certain products to keep at room temperature, and make sure you don't make the fridge too cold.
for some things it is, for example if you use an eye cream or gel, if it is kept in the fridge it takes down the puffiness of your eyebags a bit more. but with other things, like face creams and makeup, just keep them in a cool, dry place.
Some of it. An creams or liquid things you should. They also say that if you put eyeliner in the fridge it will go on smoother :D Don't put mascara in the fridge though because it clumps it up :(

VEGANS/VEGETARIANS - Do you use cosmetics/skin products that are tested on animals?

No I don't. The moment I made that decision, then I got rid of all my make up and skin products that have been tested or contain any animal product. I buy directly online from the Cruelty Free Shop (Australia) and some other random websites that have creams, perfumes and makeup. This also includes what I wash my hair in and what I dye my hair with.VEGANS/VEGETARIANS - Do you use cosmetics/skin products that are tested on animals?
Most vegetarians, I believe, only cut out meat from their diet, so they don't bother with if cosmetics are animal-tested.

Vegans, however, don't use any animal products or bi-products, so they normally don't use cosmetics/toiletries that have been tested on animals or have animal ingredients.VEGANS/VEGETARIANS - Do you use cosmetics/skin products that are tested on animals?
I'm no longer a vegetarian, but I still don't use cosmetics or household products that are animal tested. Eating to live is one thing, but using animals to test stupid skincreams is totally unnecessary! Try shopping at Lush - loads of vegetarian products, and even some vegan ones - and all are far nicer than the products of the cosmetic giants. Also, try Beauty Without Cruelty for makeup.
Everyone has. but i had to learn to choose carefully with make up. i bought Britney's spears new Perfume and was glad after when i found out it wasn't tested on animals.no one can never say they don't use things tested on animals or they would be a hypocrite. i don't use any make up tested on animals, i order anything im looking for from avon now but i do make mistakes now and again. someone bought me an expensive rimmel make up gift set for xmas and i was really annoyed but oh well what can you do :[ :[
NO WAY!!!!!!! Testing on animals is and should be a total NO NO, vegetarian or otherwise

I did not use any cosmetics or similar even before I decided to become vegetarian. That is sooooooo sick and inhumane to make another being suffer for my vanity or pleasure
no i try not to but its hard. we are lied to. but i dont use anything tested on animals. ,,,,,,,,, but ,,,,, i have a plaster on my finger. has it been tested on animals? very worrying?

i dont know but i try not to hurt an animal.
No. Not only does this make my products cruelty-free, but I also like knowing that the components of my cosmetics/skin products are usually all-natural and almost always organic.
I check to make sure it says ';no animal testing.'; Otherwise I do not buy anything with animal products or animal testing.
Not since I found out most stuff still was!

I only use Vegan society, or BAUV approved stuff. Marks and Spencers shower gels, Shampoo from Lush, Soap by Suma, and Co-Op toothpaste if I can get it!
I try not to but sometimes it's inevitable
    no
    No!!

I try and get everything from The Body Shop.
I try my best to use ones that are not tested on animals. I love products from LUSH
No, and I don't consider you a vegan if you do.
    No, never.
    No.
no, for me that's part of being a vegetarian.

When do you know it's time for ';anti-age'; cosmetics and skin care products?

On your 40th birthday (no offense to those 40 years young!)? At the first sign of lines around the eyes/mouth? I'm 25 and not really worried about aging right now, but I was just curious....When do you know it's time for ';anti-age'; cosmetics and skin care products?
The aging process actually start under the skin years before you see it on the surface so you want to be sure you are taking care of your skin and then you don't have to work so hard to fix it later. Always use SPF and oil-free moisturizer.

    I started using Anti-aging at 28.

I am 40 now and People don't believe me.When do you know it's time for ';anti-age'; cosmetics and skin care products?
well i'm 43 years young and actually i kinda wished i had started using anti-aging in my 30's .. it would have prevented more of my wrinkles which are characteristic but ya know who likes them anyway.. he he he
I dont think you have to be a certain age to start using anti-aging products. I'm 22 and I've been using anti-aging products for 6 months now. The sooner you start the better.....

Take a look at the products I use, The Artistry庐 Time Defiance庐 Skin Care Systems are the best out there!
Ive always heard (and followed) the advice that the best time to do it is BEFORE you need it. Like momma always said: ';an ounce of prevention is a pound of cure';. Especially if you live in an area thats is very sunny or high pollution. You don't have to spend a lot of money, a simple moisturizer from the drug store will work, and as you get older you can tailor your skin care regimen to your specific anti-aging needs.

Ladies: what are some of your favorite cosmetics or skin care products?

just outta curiosity as to what works and what some of your favorite beauty products are? :DLadies: what are some of your favorite cosmetics or skin care products?
I must admit that I work for Lancome, so I'm a bit biased, but I their skin care is genuinely good. I love their Hydra Zen moisturiser! I suffer from eczema quite badly and some of their products really helped, that and Elizabeth Arden's 8 Hour Cream, and Eve Lom's cleanser is actually AMAZING!!

Make Up wise, I use lots of different brands. Including Lancome (for mascaras - Hypnose is incredible, foundations), Bobbie Brown (eye shadows + powders), Nars and Prescriptives (blusher), YSL's Nail Varnishes are amazing!!Ladies: what are some of your favorite cosmetics or skin care products?
    MAC Cosmetics.

    I love all their eyeshadows.

for mascara and eyeliner i buy covergirl, loreal, maybelline or max factor.

and NYX Jumbo eyeshadow pencils in milk, cottage cheese and yogurt.

Cetaphil skin cleanser and moisturizing cream.

Also too faced liquid giltter liners. Drunk Dial is amazing.
I've recently fallen in love with Olay for skin care products. I absolutely love the Daily Regenerating Serum and the Microdermabrasion Kit. I have really dry and dull skin, but when I use those it gets all of the dead skin off and moisturizes without leaving me shiny (I had a Ponds moisturizer that left me soooo shiny, I might as well have put Canola on my face). It really just makes me glow and I love that I can get it from a drugstore. Hope that helped! Good luck!
Mary Kay cosmetics all the way!!! I love Mary Kay cosmetics and I also sell the product. I was a big make up snob before and only wore Mac and Este Lauder. After my friend introduced the product to me and informed me how much money I could earn. I was in!! Did you know Mac is owned by Este Lauder? LOL1 anyway, I love my Mary Kay and feel younger each day!
i like cover girl and maybelline make up like mascara and eye shadows. but for foundation i use perscriptives and clinique blush. and i use aveeno skin care products.

Does cosmetics act differently on blacks than on white skin?

stuff like cream and lotion, make up and other stuff. is there reaction different on black skin than on white skin.Does cosmetics act differently on blacks than on white skin?
I have heard that skin with melanin can be sensitive to some cosmetics. Best thing is to use fragrance-free and something that won't clog your pores. A lot of women, across the board, are sensitive to cosmetics. I heard mineral makeups where supposed to be good--I haven't tried them yet but Will soon.

I use and have used the following products on my skin without problems.

    Proactive

    Neutrogena

    Dermalogica

  • What brand of cosmetics should I use if I have super-sensitive skin?

I'm not sure how much you are willing to spend but for high-end cosmetics I would recommend Clinique.

At the drug store I would recommend: Physcians Formula, Almay, and possibly Neutrogena. But the best would be Clinique. What brand of cosmetics should I use if I have super-sensitive skin?
I have moderate sensitive skin, especially around my eye area. Currently for skincare I use Boscia products. They are a bit pricey but really work if you have sensitive skin, and they have different products and lines for all skin types. I usually only wear mascara, eyeshadow, and lip gloss for makeup. For mascara, I wear Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes. It really does the trick, especially if you need lengthening. For eyeshadow, I use Smashbox, Stila, or Chanel. They are both a bit pricey, but very effective for my skin. For lip gloss, I can use just about anything, since the area around my lips is not really sensitive. I use Philosophy, Stila, or Chanel. What brand of cosmetics should I use if I have super-sensitive skin?
I had the same problem until I found Boots. It's mainly available at Target and it is amazing. I tried everything, including the super expensive. Everything in the line works for me and everything has spf which is an added bonus.

Miessence is the world's first certified organic skin care products. They are actually certified FOOD organic, which means, you literally could eat the products and not be poisoned--unless you are actually allergic to whatever's in it. The company is based in Australia, so if you do decide to try these products, there will be an additional shipping and handling fee. The website is www.onewithearth.com. Other organic companies: www.suncoat.com, www.honeybeegardens.com. Aubrey Organics is pretty good and not too expensive. Kiss My Face and Arbonne have too much chemicals in their products that are harmful to the female hormonal system, such as methylparabens, or any type of parabens, though they claim their products to be good for you. What's the best line of ORGANIC cosmetics or skin care?

One of the best companies for natural skincare, haircare and makeup: http://www.dhccare.com I've used their products and they are great! You are smart for not wanting to use lots of chemicals. I think that can ruin your skin in the long run...
    Try www.theorganicmakeupcompany.com
Consult with your Dermatologist.. She/He may be able to recommend you with specific line of organic products.. Or you can ask what products are they using (they might share:p).. Have you notice, Dermatologist have nice skin (so far, I've never seen one with blemishes)..
    Burts Bees.
Well, a lot of people think that if they have sensitive skin...they should use something organic.....well, that's won't neccessarily solve it. Botanic extracts and fruit extracts actually cause more allergies than products that are made from science. Hence you would hardly find organic products that say hypoallergenic to it.

I would suggest you use a product that is labeled allergy tested AND hypoallergenic AND fragrance free.

As to address your sensitivity to breaking out and irritation...you shoud try cetaphil and eucerin and then graduate to diffrent products if your skin can tolerate it.
I don't know but wanted to suggest that you go to Wild Oats and sample all their cosmetics, they carry tons of organic ones.
Go to www.sephora.com and search the word ';organic';. They offer a wide variety of organic and all natural skincare products (but very few organic cosmetics). Skincare is definately a good start though, Good luck!!

*You should search ';organic cosmetics'; on Google, and I'm sure you'll find good stuff.
omgosh, you sound like i used to a few months ago. try Murad acne complex. it's not make-up, it's acne treatment. it's SO great. its kinda costly, but it's SO worth it. it doesn't irritate you skin at all, not like pro active. proactive has benzoyl peroxide which can mess up your skin even more. but Murad Acne complex is WONDERFUL. i started seeing results in only one week, but the most time it would take is a month...that's not that bad. go to murad.com and check out their ACNE COMPLEX i think they might have a special offer on it right now. go ahead give it a try, it's AMAZING! i don't even NEED makeup to cover up my skin anymore.
gurl finally someone i can relate 2 here with organic stuff.....well 1st google organic natura; skincare....also try Juliets organic natural acne kit.i use that..go to liporexin.com........also if u go 2 pricesexposed.com for acne they have top acnee products...also go to www.drhauschka.com.....actually good non chemical skincare isnt hard 2 find....ppl r lazy and settle for chemical grocery store stuff...just look online...i hated bareminerals.......look up non irritatin mineral makeup or go to beleeve.com, sheercover.com, and mineralsecrets.com...better yet google ';mineral makeup'; try not 2 have bismuth stuff in it........im still workin on my skin too! good luck! keep in touchtell me if it works! :)

Where can I get maximum coverage, corrective cosmetics for particularly fair-skin tones?

There are a number of cosmetics brands out there that are called ';corrective,'; or ';maximum coverage.'; They are intended to cover moderate to severe flaws, such as large red birth marks, tattoos, widespread redness, acne, scarring, etc. But the problem is that most of them are too dark for me, because in oder to get the coverage, you have to have that pigment. CoverBlend and DermaBlend both look too dark for me. The Sacha brand seems to have a good color, but it's only available in this little compact that I would use up in 2 months anyway. Joe Blasco doesn't seem to offer much, either. Is there a good brand of corrective cosmetics out there for people with very light skin such as myself? Right now I am using Mary Kay whenever I can afford it, and aside from that, I just make due with drug store brands. If you answer this question, please only recommend the corrective or maximum coverage cosmetics such as the ones I described.Where can I get maximum coverage, corrective cosmetics for particularly fair-skin tones?
Have you tried Covermark USA?: http://covermarkusa.com/

They used to have free samples, but now its only 6$ for a sample: http://covermarkusa.com/covermark_kits_s鈥?/a>

Go %26amp; try Elizabeth Ardens range they have full coverage %26amp; last all day, any cosmetic store that sells this product can some times give you a tester before you buy.

Go to any counter of a cosmetic store %26amp; find the ones you like %26amp; what you think will go with your skin tone, ask for a tester %26amp; they will give it to you in a small bottle, if you dont think there is enough just ask them for 2 testers, they come in small viles so some times one is just not enough but dont forget about putting the product on the neck too which is were a lot of people forget %26amp; thats why they have a tide mark.

Never try the foundation on your hand, the hand is weathered and completely a different colour than your face.
The best on to use is from M.A.C. Face and Body. Go to any MAC counter and get them to match you up. I've used it to cover up my tattoo and it's worked great.
Try Covergirl. They have such good stuff.
You might be able to try Mineral Girlz. They have sample sizes to see if it works. The founder has rosecia and it covers that completely.

    Shiny and Beautiful Skin Tips

Most of us are gifted with beautiful skin but are not careful in preserving its original texture. Therefore during the climatic changes the tone of the skin changes and turns rough. If you regularly provide nutrition to the skin it is likely to remain glowing.

The food we consume also has a bearing on the way our skin looks. Foods containing greasy, oily and fatty substances make the oil glands overactive and therefore we are more likely to face various skin problems. Water is a very good as it cleanses the skin pores. It fights against all the toxins in the body. Therefore it is necessary to consume 8-10 glasses of water per day.

Besides, scheduling an exercise program everyday is very good. The excessive oily substances are drained from your body through the sweat that is produced when you exercise. The workouts also relieve you from all types of stress that reflect on your face

    directly.

Take care of your skin by applying the proper type of lotions or creams. Do not use the products that contain strong chemicals as it could ruin your skin. Do not smoke because it directly affects your skin and speeds up your ageing process.
Use a good cleaner. Neutragena works for me. And use a good night moisturizer like Loreal. If it doesn't make your face feel too oily use a day moisturizer too. And don't forget facial exercises to keep your skin from sagging.
The only answer is exfoliate and moisturize according to your skin type. If you use a product for oily skin and you have dry ur going to be getting a bad result. Just remember to match it to your skin type.
It could be pollution from where you live.

You could try wearing a veil.

Are you sure you know everything about fruit? it could be you

are eating fruit that is very acidic. Also are you drinking clean water and avoiding sugars?
    hi

I would advice you to try some home based remedies for skin ,hair and weight problems, this link has some good information it sure did help me so here goes,

    goodluck
I don鈥檛 know if this comes under your idea of using cosmetics, but mixing sugar and milk into a paste and using it as a facial scrub is meant to be fantastic for your skin.

Oats and honey are also meant to make a good face mask, along with yoghurt and cucumber.
a good face or skin starts with a great skin care program. You don't have to use makeup, makeup should be used to accent your beauty, not to hide imperfections. If you have a wonderful skin care program that is designed for you, you will have beautiful skin for the rest of your life then if you should choose to wear cosmetics, your true beauty will shine through. Check out www.marykay.com/rpankey to see how to customize a skin care program designed especially for you.
Well avoid using products formulated with animal products, formulated with mineral oils and with chemicals, alcohol, fragrances. The animal products come from dead animals and what most companies do is buy from rendering plants the oil that comes from boiling the dead animals and they use it as ';fillers'; to put in their ';beauty'; products... it is so gross i know .... anyway also avoid mineral oil because 10% of fine lines and wrinkles come from using mineral oil which comes from petroleum look on the ingredient list of your products and you will see petrolatum or mineral oil, these will not let your nutrients be absorbed by your skin and will cause your skin to get spots and will definately clog your pores..... anyway, i use botanically based products and they work wonderful... you can see and feel the difference immediately... i buy them online at http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com you have nothing to loose ... check them out so you could see their extent products for everybody....
zinc is good for your skin and nuts plump up the skin and make it firmer. go easy on the acohol and ALWAYS take your makeup off at night. (i'm rubbish at this an it always shows when i haven't done it)
Cleanse your skin daily try Clean %26amp; Clear its amazing and doesnt have alcohol which drys out the skin.Exfolliate to remove dead skin any make up and debris. Moisiturize with unscented FACE moisturizer not lotion. Sunscreen 79% of all wrinkles laugh lines etc come from over exposure to the sun, so try to find on that is atleast 15 SPF and above. AVOID any products with alcohol unless its a toner and avoid anything with oils because your own skin produces enough oil.
Mary Kay has an excellent skin care program and I am sure that there are many others nowadays.

How much are cosmetics absorbed by the skin?

It seems they are absorbed easily, and can be worse than ingesting a product. How easily to creams, make up and deodorants get into our body- thanks in advanceHow much are cosmetics absorbed by the skin?
Think of it this way, your skin is your largest organ... they give patches for birth control and smoking cessation why? because we absorb so much through our skin. Once you think about your skin as an organ you think twice about the lotion with petrochemicals and parabens in them. The best thing you can do is to put only natural and hopefully organic products on your skin.

Great start to a healthy life! :)How much are cosmetics absorbed by the skin?
yes the skin lets it in and later you can see where it went . Down the neck . Heavy chemical make up makes the neck look funny at age fifty. The need for makeup far outweighs the side effects. Life is not the same without a chosen look

Do you think cosmetics age the skin?

I once has a professer who went on an unrelated tangent about how cosmetics age the skin. Do you think this is true?Do you think cosmetics age the skin?
Hi, I actually read this really good article about it, you'll find more useful information there I'm sure:

http://www.carefair.com/Skincare/Anti-Ag…Do you think cosmetics age the skin?
YES!!!!!!!THAT'S WHY DON'T USE MAKE-UP AND I LOOK SO YOUNG!!!!!!!!!!
yes but only if you wear to much so only wear a little then your skin will stay beautiful
Makeup that is non-comedogenic and contains sunscreen can be beneficial for keeping the skin moisturized and protected. A light, natural application of makeup that is free from harsh chemicals is your best bet.
sometimes it can but that depends on how much u wear and if u always clean it off in the night or before u go to sleep then no it won't.
i'm sure cosmetics contribute to a faster aging process. that's why i like to use anti-aging products.

What would you like to see in skin line products and cosmetics?

Examples: main ingredients, selling prices, packaging, availability, locations and skin types.

Anti-ageing, normal/dry skin types, acne, etc. What would you like to see in skin line products and cosmetics?
all of the things you listed obviously with good prices! What would you like to see in skin line products and cosmetics?
Products that focus their marketing efforts on the aging baby-boomers would make sense, and a price the non-rich can afford.
I do not use makeup - mostly because my skin soaks in the products like they're lotion or something. Then it gets oily, then it breaks out.

However, I MIGHT consider buying a product if it were VERY low-maintenance and not very expensive.

Consider this...products made naturally with tints to do what regular cosmetics do. For example...a blemish coverer that is made from yellow plant extracts (because yellow hides red), a non-oily, tinted foundation, and a many-in-one lipstick, blush, and eyeshadow that is naturally tinted and a lip gloss that is clear and contains a natural ingredient that works similar to petroleum jelly or chapstick, but doesn't let the color rub off. The lip gloss could also come with different brushes, so you could use the same thing on your eyelashes to make them stand out, while still retaining the natural color.

Mostly, the key is, stay natural, make one item with many uses, keep the packaging simple, and make it cheap. Sell it in the mega-stores (Walmart, Walgreens, Target, etc). As long as you keep the products non-oily but natural moisturizers (like Aloe vera, etc), then you don't have to create several products for different skin types. Then, create an all-in-one anti-aging lotion.
If you are trying to get a feel for what people want in a particular product or line of products, your question is rather broad. Maybe ask people what their favorite product is, then what they like about the price, ingredients, packaging, availability, etc.

Because at this point, I'm not really sure what kind of answer to give you to truly satisfy your purpose for asking.
I'm most interested in hydration and Anti-ageing products for my skin..at affordable pricing..
*All of the above you mentioned.

*How long it has been around so I know it really does work for sure.

*Competitive brands that are compared to high quality brands only but less expensive.

*Not interested in over the counter.

*How effective it is. Must tell me how long the result will show.

*Must be oil free, no fragrance, allergy tested,

Noncomedogenic/nonacnegenic (won't clog pores and won't promote acne).

*Must have a 180 days not 30 days to return all items and get 100% money back.

    Laurie,

Recommend brand I use; Coonobabe - South Beach style brand, similar in quality to chanel, bobbi brown, except much less expensive.

    Google Coonobabe

    But before any makeup goes on your should consider applying;

I recommend what I use; Preve extreme anti aging by Isabella Pelle. It's made specifically for fine lines/wrinkles. It has the highest concentration of ';peptides'; active ingredients to fight them. Also has the highest concentration of the best known moisturizer, hyaluronic acid. This has kept my skin baby smooth.

Last month they came out with a more concentrated version of Preve called Cura. It's everything Preve except they concentrated it to extreme. I got it 2 weeks ago; it's excellent. What you need to do is decide which one works best for you. I recommend both.

    Google Isabella Pelle

btw - both brands ship 4 free, made in USA, and do not test on animals

  • How to get glowing, fresh and fair skin naturally and with no cosmetics.?

Go to a dermatologist! When I was in high school, I decided that my 3 pimples were too many, so I took matters into my own hands: I went to a store and armed myself with cleansers and moisturisers. A week later, my 3 pimples became a rash. Moral of the story? See a dermatologist BEFORE attempting to ';fix'; your skin yourself! After I'd ruined my skin, I had no choice but to go to a dermatologist - I had a rash on my cheeks, nose and forehead, plus I was itchy and flaky.

My dermatologist told me I had rosacea .. thanks to the products I'd bought earlier - I'd had an allergic reaction. Not everyone's skin is the same. If your friend found a product great - that does NOT mean it'll work for you too. Don't gamble with your skin - you might just make matters worse (like I did!). I saw the dermatologist ONCE and since then, my skin has become great. No more fire engine red-ness, pimples, flakiness or itchiness. He gave me a couple of pills to take and that was it. They helped a lot. The best thing about dermatologists is that they figure out YOUR skin when you go in to see them, so that they can work to help it get better - they don't generalise, so you can trust them.

He also gave me these tips:

Wash your face daily, using nothing more than water.

Don't use soap on your face.

Stay away from foundation - it clogs your pores!

If you MUST buy a moisturiser/cleanser, try it on a tiny area of your face first - don't slap it all on at once over your entire face, just in case you're allergic. (Mostly he suggested staying away from them).

    Drink plenty of water.

    Eat healthy.

Don't over-exfoliate - rubbing at the skin with something rough tends to irritate.

Personally, I've found that vitamin B is great for the skin.

Hope that helps! How to get glowing, fresh and fair skin naturally and with no cosmetics.?
drinking at least 2 liters of pure water everyday helps.lemon too can help which has vitamin c.or take lemon juice in tea.

You should need to do YOGA daily at morning. If u do this then Your skin will be fair %26amp; fresh naturally. because of this your mind will be fresh and that affects on personality also skin. You can use mixing of milk, Besan(floor of channa dal) and haldi Powder. by using this you get glowing, fresh and fair skin naturally without using cosmetics.
I'm as white/fair as they get! I think I have pretty nice skin... I use aveeno products. I used the cleansing pads to wash my face at night(takes off all the make-up and whatnot) and I use the lotion for my body.

And I stay so fair because I always wear sunscreen(spf30, atleast) if I'm going to be outside for a while. =)
-Drink plenty of water , atleast 10-12 gls of water everyday.

    -Eat plenty of fresh fruits.
    -less oily food

    -climate effects skin (moisture)

-wash face and DAB dry with a towel or face cloth

I just wrote an article that deals with choosing cosmetics when you have acne. The main thing you want to keep in mind is to look for makeup that states noncomedogenic or comedogenic free. This is makeup that has an oil base and can clog your pores. If you want to read the whole article, just check out the link in my resource box. Hope this helps.

I'm just worrying that if i will use some lotion or whatever, will it help my skin in healing, and what must i do best so that my skin will recover easily? Is it okay to apply lotion or any cosmetics to your sunburned skin?
Absolutely NO cosmetics! It'll irritate your skin and block your skin from peeling (meaning you'll look funny longer).

Buy aloe vera. If you can buy aloe vera leaves or have a plant in your backyard, use that instead. Drink as much water as you can, too. It'll speed up the process. Is it okay to apply lotion or any cosmetics to your sunburned skin?
you should try using Unicure Blue or Natural Shampoo only couple times a week along with Unicure Hair and Skin Conditioner 3-4+ times daily as both a leave in and wash out conditioner its grease less, perfume, fragrance, and color free. Anyone with sensitive skin who uses Benefit cosmetics?

If so how does it affect your skin. I have very sensitive skin and bought the tinted moisturiser and Dr Feelgood balm last week. After a couple of days I started getting little pimples. I stopped using the products but was wondering if anyone else's skin has gotten used to the products and if so what do you use? Thanks.Anyone with sensitive skin who uses Benefit cosmetics?
The tinted moisturizer has SPF 15 which can cause problems in many people, including myself. You Rebel is NOT OIL FREE, not matter what anyone says. Dr. Feelgood is also not oil free and is not good for sensitive skin. Dr. Feelgood is more for older women with enlarged pores. I honestly have found better foundation products in the Revlon line. MAC is pretty heavy, but there are sheer products within their line that may work for you, but ask for samples first and try for at least three days.Anyone with sensitive skin who uses Benefit cosmetics?

I used to get invisible lumps on my face, I could feel them but you couldn't see them. I realised I began getting them after I started using ';some kinda gorgeous'; foundation faker, but after a couple of weeks I stopped getting them and I use it pretty much every day!

With Benefit you really have to try products, because some are fabulous but others are just pretty packaging...

Good luck with your makeup quest!

How to get flawless skin? (Benefit Cosmetics?)?

I take good care of my skin, and it is usually quite clear, but I always have pinkness on my nose and my eyelids. I use MAC foundation in NW15, but it rubs off during the day, even if I wear powder over it.

I've been looking into trying out Benefit cosmetics, because recently a drugstore near me got some of their products.

I really just want to know how to get even, glowy skin...any tips?

Brand names/product names would help greatly. How to get flawless skin? (Benefit Cosmetics?)?
This is a way to get glowing skin no matter what brands you use. Apply a moisturizer after cleansing your skin so your skin is moist and fresh. Apply a primer to your skin-primers help keep your foundation in place and make it last all day. Apply your foundation next-I would recommend a sheer foundation/tinted moisturizer because they provide a more sheer coverage that helps your skin show through so you don't look too made up and fake looking. Take a concealer and a precision brush (one with long, pointed bristles) and dab it onto any blemishes, and then apply the concealer with your finger onto any red areas, making sure to blend well. Lightly dust on a translucent powder to set your foundation and to absorb any excess oil on your face. Apply a bright blush to the apples of your cheeks with a large fluffy brush, and apply a bronzer onto the areas where the sun would naturally kiss your face (top of forehead, tops of cheekbones, bridge of nose and chin). Take a loose shimmery powder (preferably white or pale pink or gold) and apply some to the tops of your cheekbones, browbone and inside corner of your eyes to waken up your skin and make it glow. Do your eye makeup and lips anyway you want but your skin will look great no matter what! This is what I do everyday, and here are the products I use and where you can buy them:

Primer: Laura Geller Primer (Sephora) or Rimmel Primer (available at drug stores)

Foundation: Dermalogica Sheer Tint Moisture (available at salons-www.dermalogica.com) or Cover Girl Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer (available at drug stores or mass retailers)

Concealer: Sebastian Trucco Natural Concealer (available at salons)

Powder: GloMinerals Oil Absorbing Finishing Powder (available at salons) or Laura Geller Baked Mosaic Powder (available at Sephora)

Blush: Laura Geller Baked Blush Mosaic (available at Sephora)

Bronzer: L'oreal Mineral Wear Bronzing Powder (available at drug stores or mass retailers)How to get flawless skin? (Benefit Cosmetics?)?
Even glowy skin is a breeze with Bobbi Brown's Luminous Moisture Foundation. MAC's foundation has a vegetable oil base that doesn't mesh well with skin, may irritate and doesn't have the staying power more prestigious foundations have. Bobbi's foundations naturally have a hint more yellow (don't worry, not a jaundiced yellow) but the yellow counteracts the redness in your skin and evens out the most blotchy of skin tones.

For the glow Invest in a Bobbi Brown shimmer brick in bronze. It's a cheekbone highlighter as well as a shadow that can play up even the most gorgeously, even skin around!

    Enjoy!

Has anyone used Oro Gold Cosmetics line of skin care products?

They are quite pricey, but I saw on a website called Oro Beauty that you can get a set special for $299. I was wondering if anyone knew if they were any good?Has anyone used Oro Gold Cosmetics line of skin care products?
I have just a few months ago purchased these items at some suncapsule site online and paid a lot more. My friends and I love the products.

We got the products cause one of my friends husbands told us Gold slows down collagen depletion and the breakdown of elastin to prevent sagging skin. It stimulates cellular growth of the basal layer to regenerate healthy, firm skin cells and provide a tightening effect.

So we wanted to know if he was full of it and just stopping my friend from going for a face lift. I have to tell you he was right as we all look much younger. Yes....shocking a man was right!

So I do suggest anyone who is really looking for a true wrinkle cream that works , go buy these products they are great. They work and actually last longer then the cheap ones selling online that are all watered down and uselesss. Oh buy the way these products come in the nicest packaging I have ever seen.Makes a great gift .

What are good things or ingriedients to look for when making a puchase on cosmetics or skin care products?

    Labels or ingriedients.

Please do not list the prodcuts. I won't thumb you down v=but I want to learn how to read these things myself. What are good things or ingriedients to look for when making a puchase on cosmetics or skin care products?
You need to avoid these: mineral oil, parabens, sodium laurel sulfate, nothing made out of animal by products, no artificial colors, synthetic fragrances. Alot of creams, even baby creams have this in them. Your best bet is to go to a store (like a health food store or grocery store has a health food and product area that sells organic stuff) You will find Walmarts, Targets, or wherever you shop you will find all these bad ingredients in them....I've already checked. So it will save you a big step plus time. If you are a Bath %26amp; Body shopper all of their lines has the bad stuff in them except for their more expensive lines like Bigelow and maybe one other brand (can't think of it...I rarely go there anymore) Well good luck, I hope this helps. Skin Cosmetics Caused A Rash etc,What Can I Do?

    Hi,

I used the avon pm cleanser, avon toner then avon pm cream one night and when i woke the next morning my eyes were swollen n my face was red and purple in parts. This has lasted around about 2 days now so i just want to know what i can do to get rid of the redness and swelling?

Any help would be greatSkin Cosmetics Caused A Rash etc,What Can I Do?
Don't use anything irritating on your face. Just wash with water and pat dry. I used to get all kinds of allergic reactions from all sorts of cosmetics. Trial and error. Just don't believe it when they say hypoallergenic. It's usually just a sales gimmick.Skin Cosmetics Caused A Rash etc,What Can I Do?
If you can't afford to go to the derm, just try to stay away from any cosmetics for a while. Drink aloe vera juice and chamomile tea, they are both anti inflammatory. Arnica supposed to be good for swelling too.

What are the best cosmetics for oily skin?

I'm not sure what's prompted my skin to suddenly become oily and prone to breakouts after 21 years of clear skin. I would appreciate any tips on skincare and cosmetics, particularly in finding a foundation that works well with oily skin. What are the best cosmetics for oily skin?
Firstly, if I were you I'd speak to a doctor/ dermatologist or at least a beauty therapist about what might be causing your breakouts. It could be as easy as changing your diet or addressing a hormonal imbalance.

In the meantime, maintain your 3 step cycle of cleansing, toning and moisturising morning and night, using a scrub at least once a week will remove dead skin debris which can clog your pores further, try a mask as well Payot makes an excellent drawing out mask.

When it comes to make up, use a foundation which is (obviously) oil free but also (very important) non-comodogenic and non-acnedogenic, this will prevent blackheads, whiteheads and pimples that can be caused by make-up.

The kind of foundation you buy will also depend on the finish you want. If you want to mattify your skin a powder-based/ pancake foundation with those qualities I mentioned above will work best because the powder particles absorb oil a lot better.

If you're after a more natural finish but still want coverage a liquid foundation (again, with those properties I mentioned before) will work well. The liquid foundations melt much more easily into the skin so they give a much more radiant, natural finish. Applying it with your *clean* fingers will give you an even better result.

If you're after top quality, Clinique is wonderful. They have over 36 different types of foundations at least 10 of which are for your skin type, in many forms, so you can see if you like solid make up or liquid more. If you want something that will still work but won't break the bank, Revlon Colorstay makeup for Oily/ Combination Skin (liquid) is what I use for everyday and it has fantastic coverage with a very natural finish. Their pancake is also very good.

When it comes to the zit end of the equation, foundation can't do it all. A concealer is your best weapon. You can use a green stick to neutralise the redness of your spots and then cover with some foundation and a little brush or another concealer that matches your skin tone.

Never bulk up your make up, that includes foundation *and* concealer. You won't hide the imperfections completely, what you need to do is minimise them and draw attention away from them. This is easily achieved with matt products and colours that *match* (a concealer that is too light/ dark will *draw* the eye to your flaws).

And remember, for any skin problem: ';Chin up and a concealer in your pocket.'; The rest will take of itself.

u may not believe me but ther r couple of steps 2 get rid of oily skin 1st you eat A LOT of candy until u throw up. 2nd take 10 pounds of bacon grease rub on face for 3 hours. do not shower during this process! 3rd have someone rub pee on ur face!

Well i use Maybelline's pure makeup. works great for any skin type.

the pure foundation is 50% waterbased and oil free. wont clog pores. and it wont cause breakouts. has long lasting coverage. has vitE, alow, chamomile to soothe skin. its sooo skin friendly. i LOVE this product. my classmates and schoolmates have commented me and siad i look blooming. :) its a gel/liquid foundation by the way. full coverage and you can ask a saleslady at the department store to help you find a shade that matches your skintone.

after you apply the foundation, you can use the pure concealer to cover those scars or whatever. but the foundation can give good coverage already. but to be sure about the coverage, use the concealer also. its a pencil concealer.

after concealing, touch up with the pure powder. that also includes aloe, chamomile, and vitE to soothe skin. just pat lightly onto your face. whenever you need to retouch, just use the powder. no need to apply foundation again and again. i love maybelline's puremakeup!!!!

    check it: www.maybelline.com

since you have oily skin like me, you should always bring oil blotting sheets with you. if you always reapply too much powder, itll make you look all cakey and stuff. so i recommend clean and clear's oil blotting sheets, which will absorb all the oil without smearing your makeup!
The best is Peter Thomas Roth. All their products are oil free. I personally love love love them
I have realllly oily skin and started using bare minerals a few months ago. It has helped soooooo much! Even if you don't want to use their foundation, at least get their mineral veil...you can put it on underneath, on top of, or both of whatever foundation you choose to use. It instantly sucks up ALL the oil on your skin and keeps it that way! I use the mineral veil 2 times a day and it keeps my skin perfect.

Mineral Foundation is Awesome for oily skin. I use Arbonne. It's way less expensive than Bare Minerals, and it's better. All of Arbonne's stuff is botanically based, pure, safe, and beneficial.

I have really oily, olive complexion, and even after wearing all day, my skin looks great. It gives you a fresh, glowy kinda look. Not a heavy greasy gloppy coverage.

    I use a combination of the Arbonne skin care products. The ';Intelligence'; line is self adjusting. I use the moisturizer and thermal mask. I use the anti aging line of face wash it's called ';NutriminC Re9';

I signed up to buy the stuff wholesale cuz I loved it so much. Been using it since September and my skin feels so good.

Arbonne works for me, and I had the same problem
Ok...I have major oily skin...so here's a list of products I've used and liked:

    Cleansers:

Clinique cleanser for oily skin (it can be a little drying though)

Neutrogena cleanser for oily skin (the yellow, clear liquid)

Neutrogena gentle cream cleanser (will not irritate break outs)

    Toners:

    Burt's Bee's Garden Tomato toner

Clean and Clear Toner for problem skin (will help with the breakouts)

Witch tree toner (you can buy at any health food store)

    Scrubs

    Clinique scrub with salictic acid

    Neutrogena deep pore scrub

    Burt's bees orange peel scrub

    Mask

Queen Helene, mint julep mud masque (nothing beats the price of this basic mud masque...should be used once a week).

To me, Neutrogena and Clinique are the best lines in regards to oily skin but you might have to mix and match a lot.

I have finally figured out that to me, in regards to products, less is more.

Clinique is a bit pricy for me, so I use neutrogena's daily scrub an I also keep a bottle of the gentle cream cleanser which I alternate usage when I feel my skin is getting a bit irritated by all the chemicals I have been using.

I also do a masque once a week, usually on weekends. If your skin is really oily, I suggest a mud masque. If it's oily but somewhat irritated or sensitive because of break outs, I suggest a peel off mask, like Freeman's...

In regards to moisturizer, the only stuff that ever worked for my skin was oil of olay, oil free moisturizer with SPF 15. It's got the SPF which is a must no matter what and it doesn't clog my pores.

    Good luck!
it just so happens that my nose and forehead are extremely oily, but also my cheeks do their part as well. I start my day using Neutrogena Oil Free Acdne wash. I have used it for 6 years, followed by Alcohol Free Toner. I use their Oil Free SPF 15 moisturizer and follw with Smashbox PhotoFinish silicone primer. Any makeup after that should stay pretty much all work day, but might be reapplied for night time. I use Bare Escentuals foundations, because their powder, a little goes a long way, and the powder will absorb any oil that sneaks through. Let me know what works for you. Good luck!
I had the same problem. i switched to Mary Kay and had great results. (I started selling it 4 years later because I loved it so much.)

Mary Kay products I recommend from experience:

Oil Control Lotion 3 - it can be a moisterizer or work with a moisterizer and controls oil all day.

Oil Mattifier - you can dab this on anytime of day and it will instantly disolve oil! Can go on over or under make-up.

Use powder over foundation-it really helps!

    Deep Cleanser

Oil Free hydrating gel at night. It gives you moisture(which even oily skin needs) but doesn't add grease or oil. Is Not a lotion.
Use oil free cosmetics, check that they are water base and not oil, it'll help u alot.
A drugstore solution to your problem would be to try maybelline's pure makeup line, its 50% water but it has zero oil and keeps your skin clean and fresh looking all day long! a little goes a long way so you might want to try mixing it with a oil free light moisturizer. This makeup blends like a dream and does not clog pores at all. I swear by this makeup, since I've started using this makup in conjunction with my moisturizer, I cant tell you how many compliments I get on my skin. You will GLOW!
Oh my - let me tell you - I started using Bare Escentuals in January and have almost the entire collection now! I LOVE IT! You can start out with the starter kit, you get two foundations - you usually have to mix them a bit to get the right color - its so simple! You get Warmth - which looks dark but it isn't - it just adds a natural sunlight look to you. You get Mineral Veil - it perfects your look and gives you that smooth finish : )

You get three brushes - the brushes are unlike any other - don't try any imitations - the B.E. brushes are wonderful! You usually get a starter DVD also - you will watch it the first couple times you put it on - I remember I panicked and thought Id never remember the order to put it on : )

I put mine on a little heavier than the DVD suggests - it works well for me.

They are on QVC all the time, so check QVC for great deals : )

I have almost all of my friends and co-workers wearing B.E. now - we are addicted : )

I think my favorite would be the Well Rested for your eyes - no matter how tired you are - you put that around your eyes and you look...well...well rested!

Oh - and the Bisque - it covers trouble spots - liver spots - blemishes - dark circles and other things : )

It DOESN'T come off when you sweat - its safe to sleep in!

I cant say enough about this make up - try it - you will LOVE it!

Oh - and don't panic - your face might feel a little dry the first 3 - 4 days that you use it - but it will go away!

    Hope this helps -

    ~ B.E. NUT! : )

What is the best cosmetics for oily skin and adult acne?

I have never had breakouts until the last year or so. My face is oily and the pores on my cheeks and chin are large. I need to know the best cleansing products and makeup. I have heard it is best to use products from the same line. It is horrible. I have blackheads. I never had one zit as a teen and now I am a mess. What is the best cosmetics for oily skin and adult acne?
Hi there. I started having adult acne last year although throughout my teens, I had small acne (more like whiteheads, tiny pimples). First of all, if you have the medical insurance, go see your dermatologist and discuss the proper methods on how to deal with your acne. He or she can help determine what level of acne you have (mild, moderate or severe). Usually adult acne is formed because of hormones. It's best to avoid foods or drinks that can affect your hormones and make it worse. Second, if you can't afford a dermatologist, try to use one of the three acne solvers: 1) Proactive Solution: I use this because it has really cleared up my skin and made me happy BUT it can be very strong and can dry out your skin if you don't use it moderately (start using twice a day and then go down to once a day if you need to). Proactive is expensive but worth trying. Proactive has their own skin cosmetics line too, designed to go with their products. 2)Neutrogena: you can buy this at any drugstore. It's fairly reasonably priced and a few of my friends say they like the Oil Free-Acne Wash. Like Proactive, Neutrogena also has cosmetics that help for your skin...use the water based ones only, oil free and they also have a mineral powder that is good for your skin. 3) Go simple and use whatever you think is best: sometimes all you need is a good oily skin routine: I have tried Kiehls, they have great skin care line for oily skin: The Foaming,Non-Detergent Wash for your face, The Calendula Toner with no Alcohol, and the Sodium PCA Moisturizer. It's expensive but worth it.

Or, just simply use Cetaphil, with a light toner and a good moisturizer with SPF. If you use any acne products, you need to use a SPF moisturizer because sun is not good for your acne and the chemicals you may be using.

Everyone's skin is different so you may want to test a few products out to see if they work for you. Also, if you do this, don't test it for only a few days...try a week or two to test for results. Then if it does not work, you need to wait a week or two before trying something else (don't use anything at this time your skin needs to heal and recover).

Get plently of exercise and drink lots of water, take Vitamin C and eat a healthy good diet with low fat foods, fresh veggies, and fruits, lean meats and nuts.

Good luck!Sometimes acne just goes away with time...if not...there is always a way to clear it up. Be patient and don't get discouraged. :) Do research and try to get samples to avoid paying lots of money for something that may not work.

JUST REMEMBER: what works for others may not work for you but given the right product and condition of your skin, you will find what works best for you! What is the best cosmetics for oily skin and adult acne?
I used Clearasil Daily Face wash on my extremely oily skin for years. I finally had to go to a dermatologist. He wrote me a script for basically the same thing just in a stronger form. If you can't see a dermatologist (which I recommend) then try that Clearasil Daily Face wash. I sometimes mixed it with a little bit of medicated apricot scrub and that helps too. Don't use alcohol after washing, use Sea breeze or a good toner. Bare Minerals is great make up for acne/oily prone skin. Its a little pricy but a tiny bit of that stuff goes a long way. You can get a starter kit for around $60 at Sephoria.com

    Good luck!
though i have no experience of cosmetics(i am extremly hetrosexual) i can say by knowledge that you should use organic or herbal products.

As for the acne from experience i know that acne 101E getaway is by far the best product for any type of acne.

I am a senior consultant with Mary Kay and I am always looking for the oppertunity to share the greatest skin care in the land. If you need a consultant I would be happy to help you. And also if anyone has any questions about skin care I would be happy to help.Who would like to know more about Mary Kay cosmetics and skin care?
Try the Mary Kay skin care line with customized skin care products for acne etc. The best thing to with your skin is always to keep it clean as well as treating breakouts. This helps prevent breakouts and other issues.

There are five steps to basic skin care:

    1. Cleanse

    2. Exfoliate

    3. Tone/Freshen

    4. Moisturize

    5. Protect

The Mary Kay 3 in 1 cleanser can do the first three steps in one. The fifth step is protect. You want to use an oil free foundation which our formulas for dry normal combo and oily skin are all oil free. When your skin is protected with foundation you can wash off the impurities that your skin catches in the air. The foundation catches the irritants and impurities instead of them getting into your pores causing further breakouts. Mary Kay is satisfaction guaranteed. So if you try it and it doesnt work for you you can get different products or your money back.

Also it is so important that when you are using skin care you use one line be it Mary Kay or Avon or a Walmart brand. They are formulated to work with one another. Mixing products not designed to work together can cause reactions in some people. ;)

To even out skin tone you of course need to keep your skin exfoliated but also use a solution like our day and night solution. The day solution has SPF 25 in it and the Night Solution has Vitamin A and E and more in them. These collagen inducing products help to tighten and firm the skin as well as even out tone. You can add in our Microdermabrasion once or twice a week to totally exfoliate and remove dead skin. The second step of our microderm set will return your skin to its proper PH balance so you will not be rough or dry afterwards.

I reccomend using products as follows but all skin care must be customized for an individual.

Timewise 3 in 1 Cleanser (customized for skin type)

Timewise Day Solution (at night use Night Solution)

Timewise Moisturizer (customized for skin type)

    Timewise Firming Eye cream

Additional moisturizers if needed(intense for dry spots etc)

Foundation (customized for skin type and shade)

Color products (use all oil free and non-comedogenic)Who would like to know more about Mary Kay cosmetics and skin care?

I already know their reputation of ';testing'; their products on animals. I don't need to know anything else. I am not going to support a company that abuses animals!
To the person who responded about animal testing:

Mary Kay does not test their products on animals. Mary Kay has actually signed the PETA pledge. In case you do not know, PETA is the group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

What are the worse cosmetics or skin care brands you ever try?

I'm not a fan of Avon makeup. I like the other gifts and what-have-you, just not the makeup. The worst mascara is Aloette, but I love their other products. I really am not a fan of Maybelline mousse makeup either. What are the worse cosmetics or skin care brands you ever try?

What happens to used products, such as skin care and cosmetics, that are returned to a store or website?

Do they get repackaged and put back on the shelf? Do the employees get to take them home? Do they get sent back to the manufacturer? Are they just thrown away? I really would like to know. What happens to used products, such as skin care and cosmetics, that are returned to a store or website?
I worked at bath and body works for a year, and they have a policy that you can return anything even if you've used it.

If the person told us they used the product or we even suspected they used it, we had to squeeze the product into the trashcan and then throw away the bottle. If it was an item that wasn't used and came from our store, we put it back on the shelf. It it was an item that wasn't used but wasn't in our store, there was a prize drawer in the back that the employees could choose from if they did really well in sales, etc. I once got a $95 item that I took back to the store it was originally from and returned it for other items I actually needed. This is a little bit against the policies, but it helped me out!!

There are laws against anyone using used cosmetics. The store has to throw them out. The employess wouldn't take home used cosmetics because that's gross. I guess some stores send stuff back to the manufacturer, but the majority of it gets thrown out. What happens to used products, such as skin care and cosmetics, that are returned to a store or website?
well the products r not returned the companies do not agree to take it back they only agree to take the un used products o they accept to take back the products that r less in quality and give u another one
If they've been opened, they either get thrown away or returned to the manufacturer for credit. If not opened and not defective, they put them back on the shelf.
